I couldn’t think of a better way to test drive my new organic bamboo bed linen from Ettitude than to bring it back to nature with a little DIY day bed. This was easier to set up than it looks, all you need is 4 posts of bamboo, 1 canopy, 4 pieces of rope, 1 rug, 4 pillows, 1 blanket and you are good to go. It’s as easy as this:
1. Using the rope, tie the corners of the canopy to the tops of the bamboo one corner at a time.
2. Position the posts and push the bottoms of the posts firmly into the sand.
3. Throw your bedding inside and make your self comfortable as you listen to the sounds of the waves and feel the breeze of the ocean.
Why Bamboo? It’s eco-friendly as Bamboo is a self-regenerating natural resource. It uses much less water than cotton to thrive, leaving more for our plant to enjoy. The sheets are made from organic bamboo lyocell which is fabricated with high eco-standards and a closed-loop system that recycles and reuses water to minimize waste.
Why Ettitude? I wanted to support this business when choosing bedding for my new room as they only use accredited manufacturers who maintain ethical practices when it comes to production and employment of workers, fair wages and comfortable work environments. The company also gives back by supporting the Swags for Homeless organisation who helps to provide emergency relief Backpack Beds for the homeless who are turned away from shelters.
Aside from being co-friendly, ethical & estetically pleasing the sheets are super super soft, so it’s basically like sleeping on cloud…..
